Chapter 10
Echothis flew directly to Soltharion’s plane and took off from the Capital Airport at eight o’clock
sharp.
The drowsiness surged like a tide, and she couldn’t hold on any longer. Slowly, she closed her bruised eyes.
I slept for over seven hours.
Upon waking up again, Ivy finally realized that she had indeed left.
Alone and far away from my homeland, I went to a foreign land.
This was a future she had never imagined before.
Only after the change did she realize that saying goodbye was not so painful, and loneliness was not
so heart–wrenching.
She took this step calmly.
No tears, no regrets, only endless relief.
And some expectations that were not intense, but burned brighter and brighter.
Under the influence of this mindset, Ivy became much more relaxed.
She took out her phone and opened the list of precautions she had made before leaving. She carefully read through it once.
Soltharion’s apartment and all the necessary daily necessities had already been arranged, so she
didn’t need to worry.
The only thing that troubled her a little was the person who had arranged all this for her.
That is the boy who is said to have been born around the same time as her, in the same month and year, and who has a close relationship with dolls.
What was it called again?
Ivy couldn’t remember, so she had to take out the note her mother had given her and added him on Line using his phone number.
The line passed quickly.
A black and white portrait, named Bruce Reed.

As she watched, Ivy shook her head and slowly expelled the few sentences her mother had instructed her before boarding the plane from her mind.
What to spend time together, keep in touch more often, and ask for help when needed…
He seemed like an unsympathetic and aloof person at first glance.
It is better to reduce interactions and avoid troubling others.
A series of random thoughts and musings, a few hours swiftly passed by.
As the plane landed, Ivy’s already nervous heart started beating even faster.
She pushed three suitcases and as soon as she walked out of the boarding gate, she saw a sign with
her name on it.
Under the sign, there was a family of three.
It was Doreen Woods, the sister who grew up together with Ivy’s mother, along with her husband
and son.
The Woods family immigrated twenty years ago, so Ivy has only seen them in old photos, with some vague impressions.
She was hesitating whether to greet proactively or not, when Doreen had already seen her and was waving at her continuously.
“Ivy, I was here!”
Ivy felt her face getting warm, and she forced a polite smile in response as she walked towards
them with difficulty.
There were too many people, and she had heavy belongings. Inadvertently, her suitcase was pushed away by the crowd.
Just as she was starting to feel a little anxious, Bruce, who had been standing at the door, took a few steps forward and grabbed the suitcase for her.
She walked over, pulling two other suitcases. Before she could say “thank you,” the other person had already taken the suitcase from her left hand.
Doreen, who arrived late, quickly had her husband take the other box from her hands, then she took hold of his hand and pulled out a tissue to wipe the sweat off her forehead.
Ivy was somewhat taken aback and raised her head, only to see Doreen’s sparkling eyes.
