Chapter 7
It was not a big deal at first and I could have solved it myself. Perhaps due to pregnancy hormones, my voice was tinged with a plaintive tone. My pent-up grievances exploded. “They bullied me while you weren’t around.”
Those who had gone to the airport to pick me up earlier trembled so much that they needed to hold onto the table.
The simp they had been mocking a few days ago turned out to be Mr. Grey’s wife. They were sick with regret.
I wore the bracelet on my hand and had emphasized many times that I was Axel’s wife.
Knowing that they had offended a big shot, these people wanted nothing more than to find a place to hide.
Rosalie’s best friend, Tessa Ginger, suddenly stepped forward.
“Selina, where did you find these two actors? They’re so good at acting. Do you want Rosalie to help them find an agency? After all, you’re so poor that you can’t even afford a set of clothes. I have a set here that I have worn. I can give it to you to keep you from being embarrassed if you don’t mind.”
Tessa came late and did not see the whole thing. Tessa and Rosalie were best friends in name, but the latter only regarded her as
a minion.
Tessa had no idea what Axel and Reagan looked like at all. She dressed up elaborately to snag a rich husband. The most important thing in snagging a wealthy husband was to please Rosalie, and Rosalie would be happy as long as I was bullied.
It was unknown what was on her mind, but Tessa burst into laughter.
At times like this, many people would chime in. However, the people around her stared at her as if she were a fool. This made Tessa feel a little uneasy.
“You there. I think you’re quite good-looking. If you leave Selina, I can consider keeping you as a lover.”
Tessa’s words made the corners of my mouth twitch. She was trying to steal my man in front of me. I did not know whether to consider her courageous or stupid.
Anyone with common sense could tell that Axel was no ordinary person. How could an ordinary person have such an overbearing temperament?
Axel was so angry that he laughed at Tessa’s words.
If I had been the one to say those words, he would be smiling gleefully. However, if it was another woman, he would only think that the person had a death wish.
Over the years, to give me enough sense of security, those who wanted to climb into his bed or flirt with him either disappeared or were sent to rural countries.
Tessa saw that something was off and immediately went to Rosalie. Rosalie did not want to be involved with her.
Seeing Tessa approach her, she immediately slapped Tessa. “Tessa, how dare you offend Mr. and Mrs. Grey? Do you have a death wish?”
Tessa covered her face in a daze after being struck. Rosalie’s words filled her mind and she muttered to herself. “Selina is Mrs. Grey? I offended them…”
Tessa also knew that Axel was known to be a protective husband. When she thought of her possible fate, she could not help but tremble all over.
“Gosh, look at her skirt.” Someone in the crowd screamed, and everyone’s gaze shifted to Tessa’s lower body.
She peed herself out of fear.
Axel frowned slightly and the bodyguard next to him immediately understood and dragged Tessa away.
Rosalie’s and Levi’s faces were red.
Although it was Tessa who was dragged away, everyone in the circle knew her words always echoed their own thoughts. The guests also stared with contempt at them like they were clowns.
