Chapter 10
After drinking some water, I finally caught my breath. “It’s Reagan.”
“Got it, got it. He’s your precious son. That little one is so vicious that he doesn’t need your protection at all.”
I automatically ignored Julia’s rants about Reagan and asked her again. “How come I don’t see Axel and Reagan around?”
Julia perked up immediately. “They’re avenging you. I wanted to go too, but your husband and son are so terrifying. I stayed back to keep you company.”
I pretended to be dissatisfied and asked, “What? Are you upset that you have to keep me company?”
Julia looked at me speechlessly. “I don’t even know what to say to you, Selina. You were already unconscious when I arrived. I found out what had happened from the discussion going on around me.
“Your adorable son paled when he saw you faint. Axel’s gaze was downright murderous. Do you know that Reagan stuck a fork hard into Rosalie’s hand after you were sent to the hospital? I never knew a child could be that strong.”
She added, “Axel also found out later that Levi slapped you three days ago and damaged the gift he bought for you, as well as how Rosalie and those men had humiliated you.
“Then, he asked his bodyguards to hold down Levi and cut off the hand he had slapped you with. Reagan just watched. What a terrifying little demon!
“Also, Levi’s face was slapped so hard that it swelled up. Didn’t Rosalie try to snatch your bracelet? Axel asked the bodyguards to carry a basket of gems in and told her to swallow them all.
“Guess what Axel said at that time? Since you love to steal from others, I’ll give you what you want. As many gems as you can eat.
Julia continued, “Your man is a badass. Rosalie refused to eat, so he brought her son over. She then swallowed a lot of gems. Rosalie was half-dead and Axel asked someone to cut her face and sever the tendons of her son’s wrist in front of her. She was
eventually thrown into the sea.
“Those who watched coldly were also taught a lesson. Everyone has a hideous scar on their wrist just to punish them for watching coldly and not helping you. I might’ve suffered as well if I weren’t your best friend.” Julia pretended to wipe her tears to get my sympathy, but I only rolled my eyes.
“Although many reporters were present that day, the only news that was reported was Salfolk Group’s bankruptcy. The foreign markets of the companies present were all monopolized by Axel. They were either made bankrupt or seriously hit.
“Axel and the little devil are now busy looking for Levi. Levi was also going to be thrown into the sea, but he and Rosalie reached some kind of deal. Rosalie desperately stopped the bodyguards and bought him time to escape.”
The deal was not difficult to guess. All mothers were strong. Levi must have said something about her child. Rosalie had
swallowed so many gems that she was dying. Her only concern was her son.
Axel was usually indifferent, but he would blame himself if Reagan and I were hurt. Although his methods were cruel, I was not afraid. However, Reagan had been led astray by his father after all.
I wanted to ask about something else, but the ward’s door was suddenly pushed open and two people, one big and one small, rushed over to me immediately when they saw that I was awake.
