I’ve been pretending for thirty minutes now that I lost my car key, even though I don’t have a car parked in this lot.
I considered using Alexander’s beautiful car, but it would’ve been completely immoral to risk damaging such a nice ride just to distract them. They could scratch it or destroy it.
I keep pretending to be desperate. Most of the men have gone back inside the bar, fed up with searching. I hope Alexander had time to get what he came for
Only two of them stayed. I pretend to dig through my gym bag, which, by the way, doesn’t match my outfit.
“Sorry, my keys were in my bag. I didn’t search well enough.”
I head toward the alley behind the parking lot, but I hear them following me, cursing at me. I tum around with an annoyed expression
“You think you can take us for fools? We deserve a reward,” one of them snaps at me.
“I’m letting you live. Isn’t that enough?”
One of them tries to grab my arm. I shove him hard and make him fall,
“This bitch is strong! I’m gonna get her!”
I glare at him. I’m about to land a solid kick between his legs when I hear,
“I leave you alone for barely thirty seconds and you already find a way to get into troublet”
I smile when I see Alexander’s eyes. The second guy takes advantage of the distraction to grab me. He pulls me close and presses a knife against my
throat.
“Who’s this guy? Playing the hero, is that it?”
“I brought her so I wouldn’t have to play the hero.”
The guy I knocked down gets back up and charges at Alexander, trying to punch him, but Alexander stops his move before he can even get closer.
He grabs him by the collar and lands a massive punch to his face. He follows with an uppercut to the stomach. The man doubles over in pain. Alexander grabs his head, pulls it back, and lands one final blow to his face. He collapses on the ground, blood pouring out. Looks like he just broke his nose.
I feel the guy holding me start to tremble in fear. I take the opportunity to slam a violent elbow into his nose, making him lose balance and drop the knife.
I follow with a kick to the groin and a solid right hook, all while Alexander watches silently.
“You want more, or would you rather run away!”
He flees at full speed, abandoning his buddy to save his skin–so predictable.
I turn toward Alexander just as the man gets back up with a metal bar he must’ve found near the trash.
I don’t even have time to say a word before he taps Alexander on the shoulder to make him tum around and hits him twice in the fate with the
