Chapter 182
Night fell.
The hospital corridor was quiet.
Dorothy took turns staying up all night with Gianna in the intensive care unit. Even when Gianna took a break, she still covered her with a blanket.
She walked out of the ward gently and closed the door.
As soon as I turned around, I saw Dwayne approaching with two bodyguards.
She couldn’t help but be cautious, “What do you want to do?”
Seeing her on guard, Dwayne subtly lowered his face and casually adjusted his tie, “They are responsible for watching here, you don’t need to keep watch.”
The two bodyguards exchanged a glance and both nodded at Dorothy.
Dorothy was not grateful, “No need, our family matters have nothing to do with Mr. Lambert.”
She wanted to leave, but her arm was grabbed by someone.
Dwayne gestured for the bodyguard to wait first, then led Dorothy into the fire escape.
Dorothy struggled to break free from his grip on her hand, “Dwayne, who are you pretending for with this fake act? Are you thinking of some new way to mess with us again for Sonia?”
“Dorothy,” Dwayne said as he gripped her shoulders, pushing her against the wall in one swift motion. The man was clearly agitated by her, with the veins on the back of his hand bulging. “I have no knowledge of Rogelio’s situation, and I didn’t do it.”
“If not you, then it’s Sonia.”
“Do you have to doubt everything on her?”
Dorothy stared at him.
After Rogelio’s accident, facing Dwayne again, she had only one thought.
She had never been so impatient to “leave him“.
The idea has become more urgent now.
She laughed, “Who else could there be besides her?”
“I have already had someone investigate.”
“I didn’t trust you.”
