Chapter 2
I cried until my eyes were swollen and my head was pounding.
I grabbed my car keys and floored it to the Meridian Hotel.
The Meridian was Chase’s other place–where he’d put up his groomsmen for the weekend.
They were throwing a party there tonight.
Chase was there.
And somehow, Sienna Marlowe had shown up too.
Through the iron gates, I could see them by the pool.
Chase looked drunk, his sharp, gorgeous features flushed pink.
His eyes were glazed as he hooked his arm around Sienna’s neck, whispering something in her ear.
Sienna rolled her eyes playfully and shoved him into the pool.
The groomsmen around them whooped and cheered.
Chase surfaced, shaking his wet hair back with that cocky grin plastered across his face.
He grabbed Sienna’s ankle and yanked her into the water.
As she shrieked, he lifted her up, pinned her against the pool wall, and kissed her hungrily.
The crowd erupted in cheers.
Someone was popping champagne, others were setting off sparklers.
A few of them even brought me up.
Yo Chase, you’re marrying Vivienne in two days, and here you are making out with her best friend. That’s pretty messed up, don’t
you think?”
Ha! As long as you don’t tell and I don’t tell, Chase could bang Sienna right here and Vivienne would never know.”
“There’s the Chase I know! The way you were chasing after Vivienne like some lovesick puppy, acting like she was the only woman on earth–guess it was all just an act, huh? I actually thought you’d gone all reformed bad boy on us!”
Chase finally broke that endless kiss.
His voice was rough and husky, dripping with that lazy, bad–boy charm.
‘I do love Vivienne. She’s the only woman I want to marry. I can spoil her, love her, grow old with her. But expecting me to stay faithful at my age just for her…”

Chase chuckled and planted a loud kiss on Sienna, who was still catching her breath against his shoulder.
“Not happening.”
Chase carried Sienna out of the pool and set her down on a lounge chair.
Someone rushed over with a towel, but Chase took it and draped it over Sienna instead.
One of the guys asked, “So Chase, you heading home tonight?”
Sienna looked up at Chase with slightly red eyes.
Chase crouched down and affectionately pinched her cheek.
Vivienne’s always putting Sienna first–hell, I come in second place. Now that Sienna’s upset, of course I’m staying here to comfort
her.”
He waved toward his friend. “Griffin, text my fiancée. Tell her I’m wasted and sleeping here tonight. I’ll pick her up tomorrow for the
rehearsal.”
Just as the tears started pouring down my face, my phone buzzed.
Griffin Hale’s message: “Hey Vivienne, Chase is pretty hammered, so he’s crashing here tonight instead of coming home. Get some rest–he’ll pick you up personally tomorrow for the rehearsal.”
