The smirk on her face grew until the girl who was one of the most gorgeous girls in our school transformed into one of the ugliest. It’s crazy how one’s heart can change their features so drastically.
Stefan chuckle makes me turn to face him. “You’re going to be my little plaything sweetheart. You’re going to be mine like you w always meant to be.”
His words caused a disgusting tickling sensation down my spine. Bile so horrid crawls up my throat as I stare at the guy I once considered a friend. Someone once trusted with my life now looks at me so coldly.

I mourn the feeling of safety I once felt with him and look away, my heart shattering even more. He clicks his tongue, moving closer until his fingers pinch my chin harshly. I wince, forced to look back at him.

“You can’t force someone to be yours, Stefan,” I croaked out, swallowing the lump that tickled to form in my throat. My words must have ticked him off even more because he added pressure to my chin, eyes narrowing with the look of anger.

I pinch my lips together, unsure if I should say anything but knew it would only make things worse on my end. I stayed silent, observing both her and Stefan and wishing that somehow someone would come rescue me.
However as the seconds tick on and her angry mask grew, I knew that what she had planned for me wouldn’t be a walk in the park.
She walks around Stefan, stepping closer to me until her shoes touched mine. Her lips part as though she were about to say something but before she could Stefan turns back around and grip her upper arm, catching her off guard.

Her words slam into me and for a moment everything in the room seem to freeze as the weight of her word’s curl around the stale
air.
Dead.
She wanted me dead.
I could not seem to wrap those brutal words around my head, unsure why I deserved death when I had not done anything to her.
I watch Stefan’s face twitch, the muscles in his jaw stiffening as he clenched his teeth. He drew his eyes down to me then, really stared, and I saw a flicker of something he was trying to veil–uncertainty, guilt and…..fear.
He knew she was going to far. Her intentions were unjust.
“Juliet,” his voice is hesitant, a bit quiet. ” Killing her wasn’t part of the plan,” he tears his eyes away from me as if the sight of me made him feel pity.
Juliet’s eyes narrowed into slits of mockery. Though her eyes were cold there was a flicker of light in the depths that showed her insanity. She had gone mad. ” Plans change dumbass,” scoffing she turns around and walks toward an old draw to the left.
Her walking away didn’t make me feel relieved because I knew her plans were to see me dead. A knowing that sank deeply in my gut uncomfortably.
“This won’t be the first time I killed someone to gain Kaleb,” she admits loudly, her shoulders shrugging up as though her words were simple. “Who do you think got rid of that little bitch, Gloria? She tried to take Kaleb from me.”
My heart drops. Gloria. Her friend. Her best friend. She was the one who killed her. The truth was gut wrenching

I watch in complete horror as Stefan falls to his knees before me as the quiet night gets disturbed by the most restless scream I have ever heard before. It is only when Juliet’s cruel eyes snap to me while she yell,” Shut the fuck up bitch!” I realized the terrified scream was coming from my own mouth.
