Chapter 294
LILY’S POV♡
His palms left a burning sensation on my hand that seeped through to warm my stomach, I was frozen in my spot as his blue eyes gazed into my own. It felt like the words were stuck in my throat, so I settled for a nod when he got impatient.
“Why were you avoiding me, baby?” He asked, but I didn’t answer him. I was too afraid to see his reaction. “When were you going to tell me? He questioned. His eyes searched my guilty ones.
I looked down and gulped, I was too ashamed to tell him my plans. I lifted my head to stare into his eyes, hoping he’ll get the answer without me saying it aloud.
He detached his hands away from me like I burned him and raked his hand through his tousled hair. His now blazing eyes glared into my own. “You were never going to tell me were you?” He stated. My silence answered his question. His chest heaved up and down as his breathing quickened.
He walked towards the wall that was on the right and punched it ruthlessly. I jumped at the sound of his fist hitting the wall and ran towards him to stop him from hurting himself, but he moved away from my touch as I had burned him. My heart dropped at his actions and my eyes let out a few tears.
His breathing was erratic as he clenched his hands into a fist. I took a moment to study his rigid form. His knuckles looked raw and red from punching the wall.
The long sleeve red and black plaid button down shirt he wore hugged his muscular body perfectly, making it look more prominent. His dark washed jeans fit snugly to his form making his nice firm round bottocks look really good. Damn, my hormones.
His head snapped towards mine, making me stop my ogling instantly. His blue eyes darkened and he let out a harsh breath.
“What were you planning to do, run away and never look back? Because if that was your plan, I’m sorry to burst your little bubble princess, but what made
you think I would have let you go easily?” He snarled, his upper lip turned into a snarl as he stepped closer towards me and held my hand in a firm grip.
“I’m sorry Asher, I just thought it would have been the best idea at the time, I wasn’t thinking straight and I know I can’t give you a better explanation.“I whispered, but got caught off.
“You’re damn right you can’t give me a better explanation. Tell me, Lily, what made you come up with the idea to keep the pregnancy a secret from me?” He roared. His voice made me jump and I tried to take a step back but the death grip he had me in prevented me.
I looked at his shirt as I avoided his cold stare. “I was afraid that your parents wouldn’t approve and take the baby away from me.” I mumbled, barely a whisper. “I also thought that you wouldn’t want me anymore, you wouldn’t want us.” I continued and lifted my head to look at his reaction. If anything, his glare became more intense. He pulled me incredibly close to his chest.
“If you weren’t avoiding me, you would have known that my parents and I are not on speaking terms. I chose you over them, I wanted to surprise you when you came back, but look what I got instead.” He said harshly and dropped me completely. My eyes widened at his words. I became more guilty as his words sinked in. He actually chose me over his parents, and here I had chosen to keep the pregnancy away from him.
Before I could answer him, the front doors of the school opened up. I turned around to see that it was Niall approaching. He looked confused at the tension that was between Asher and I. When he stopped beside me, his eyes fell on the test Asher was gripping in his hand.
He turned towards me with a smile “So did you take the test, am I an uncle?” Excitement was clear in his voice, but before I could answer his question Asher’s voice spoke up.
“Wow, he even knew about it before me huh.” He grumbled and stared between the two of us with distaste.
“Asher-.” I started, but he held his hand up to stop me.
“Just don’t, I need space to think, and it seems that lover boy over here needs an answer.” He gritted out and nudged his head to a very confused Mal He walked away and disappeared out the front door, slamming it with force. My heart clenched at his behavior and tears flowed out my eyes i sobbed a I stared at the door he disappeared out from, hoping he would come back.

Chapter 294
“Did I just cause a lovers spat?” Niall asked, making me snap my head towards him. I gave him a teary, embarrassed smile.
“It wasn’t your fault Niall, it was mine.” I whispered.
“What happened?” He asked and pulled me into a hug.
“I’m pregnant.” I whispered. He pulled back to stare at me and dropped his gaze to my stomach. His mouth curved into an ecstatic smile, but turned into a frown when he noticed that I didn’t return the smile.
“What’s wrong, aren’t you happy?” He asked, confused.
“I am, but when I found out, I decided to keep it away from Asher. The only reason he found out was because Sonia found the test and brought it to Shelly, who stopped me earlier to spread the news in front of everyone. That’s when he heard it.” I mumbled, averting my eyes to the wall Asher had previously punched.
“I’m disappointed that you kept it away from him, Lily. The guy deserved to know before anyone, what you did to him was wrong on so many levels. He uttered.
“Don’t you think I know that! I’m guilty already as it seems, please don’t judge me. I wasn’t thinking and I regret even coming up with that plan.” I cried.
Niall sighed before letting out a silent curse. “No wonder the guy was furious, he had every right to be.”
“What do you think I should do?” I was desperate. I didn’t want to lose Asher, I knew that when I eventually saw him, I would have told him at some point. Even if I had come up with that plan, I wouldn’t have succeeded because just one look at him would have made me crumble to tell the truth.
“I suggest you give the guy some space Lily, he’s mad right now but he loves you too much to stay mad forever. He’ll come around eventually.” Niall spoke.
I sighed. “I hope so.”
