Chapter 10
I expected Rose to have learned her lesson after all that. Yet, she took things even further.
One day, Lara sent me a link and said with disgust, “Look at this. She really has no shame.”
I looked down at my phone screen.
It was a viral forum post with a bolded title, “She Took Everything From Me Since We Were Pups!”
In the post, Rose spun a tale of woe and victimhood.
She claimed I had bullied her as we grew up, accusing me of using my status as the eldest daughter to bully her and take away all the good things for myself. She went on to say that I was calculating and often put on a gentle front while forcing her to back down behind the
scenes.
Rose even said I’d stolen her fated mate by coercing our parents. She then accused me of leveraging my rediscovered royal identity to retaliate, causing her to be rejected by her mate and pack, thereby effectively ruining her reputation and life.
She coated every word of her sob story with vicious accusations, twisting everything around to make it seem like she was the innocent victim who was wronged at every turn.
It didn’t take long for her story to shoot to the top of the werewolf realm’s trending
forums. Some wolves believed her, and the comment section was flooded with harsh
criticisms directed at me.
When my parents saw it, their expressions turned grim.
Mom trembled with fury as she remarked frostily, “Rose is utterly shameless! I can’t just sit around. I’ll get someone to stop this from circulating. We can’t let it spread further.”
With an anxious frown, Dad immediately began contacting our pack’s public relations specialists. “If she wants a war online, we’ll give her one.”

I shook my head. “There’s no need.”
They both turned to look at me, startled.

I explained calmly, “If we try to shut down the trending topic, it’ll only make us look like the guilty party. Since she dares to lie so boldly, then I’ll make sure her lies unravel in front
of the entire world.”
I took out my phone and played a recording.
I had secretly recorded the conversation while standing outside the living room of the Roth
residence.
The crystal–clear voices were irrefutable evidence of the conversation that had taken place that day.
“Who does Diana think she is? Everything she has should’ve been mine from the start.”
“Don’t worry. Her mate’s already yours. Her pup will be yours too.”
“Just wait for the pup to be born, Rose. Hold on a little longer…”
I uploaded the full audio with no cuts or voice filters.
The moment it dropped, the tide turned immediately.
Still, some didn’t believe it. They were skeptical about the recording’s authenticity and
claimed it could have been doctored.
That was when a familiar voice entered the fray.
Nate apologized to me publicly online.
The forums were set ablaze with heated discussion.
“What the hell? He’s only coming clean now?”
“You used your Luna’s body to carry another woman’s pup! You’re sick.”

“What were you thinking, Alpha Nate? I’m still reeling in disbelief.”
“This is the classic ‘mate suffers while side chick thrives! story. How disgusting.”
“You and Rose deserve to rot in hell together!”
Nate messaged me, asking to meet. “Diana, I know you don’t want to see me, but there are
things I need to say to you in person.”
I rejected him. He no longer had the power to shake me.
But the next day, I didn’t expect to be in danger as I stepped out the door.
A car suddenly accelerated and sped toward me. The deafening and menacing screech of its
tires cut through the air.
I thought I was going to die. But then, someone hurled themselves at me and shoved me
out of the way.
There was a deafening crash, and the person hit the ground hard. Blood pooled beneath him on the stony path.
In the distance, sirens wailed. The wolves on patrol rushed in and quickly subdued the
driver.
The door to the driver’s side flung open. Rose came hurtling out like a rabid beast with
ed eyes.
dlaced her voice as she shrieked, “Diana! This is all your fault! You vile bitch! You ruined me! You ruined everything! Why do you get to live well?”
She screamed like a creature gone feral, her eyes burning with madness. The patrol wolves
pinned her down, but she thrashed wildly, shrieking like a banshee.
I stood to the side, watching the chaos unfold. My expression was cold and unfazed.
On the ground, in a growing pool of blood, Nate looked up at me with pale lips and a complicated look in his eyes.

“Diana…” he rasped, reaching weakly toward the hem of my dress.
I stepped back to avoid his touch.
