Chapter 43
“I’ll give you one night.” He looked down at his watch. “Tomorrow at 9 AM, you bring Iris to the door of the Orlando family on your own.”
He didn’t clarify what would happen after that.
But Aurora had been married to him for four years, and before that, she had always cared for and understood his means.
This man was always ruthless and indifferent towards his opponents.
After Hector finished speaking, he turned his back and left.
His figure was indifferent and cold.
Aurora watched his departing figure, a cold smile fleeting across her face.
How could she have liked him?
“Hector came to see you regarding Iris’s custody, right?”
It wasn’t until after they finished eating, when Iris had gone to her room, that Fredrica asked about the matter.
Aurora nodded, feeling heavy–hearted.
She recounted what Hector had said before leaving.
“Damn it!”
Upon hearing Hector’s threat to Aurora, Fredrica couldn’t help but curse.
“This guy probably thinks everyone in the world is good except for you, who he can’t forgive!”
She became furious and scratched the table as if scratching Hector.
“In this matter, a little investigation would reveal who is right and wrong. Hector’s blind stubbornness is truly astonishing.”
“If we had known earlier, it would have been better to never pay attention to him from the beginning, to let him remain in the dark.”
“Blindness is not terrifying, but blind stubbornness has no cure!”
Fredrica looked at Aurora, his eyes filled with sympathy.
Few people knew that Aurora actually had only one eye, and the remaining eye had poor vision.
In the past, because of this sinful man, she had made sacrifices that ordinary people couldn’t imagine!
Fredrica knew that bringing up the past would hurt Aurora, so he finally stopped and held her hand, “What are you planning to do now? Do you have a plan?”
When a lawsuit begins, the agreement Aurora held in her hand would have little value.
At first, Aurora had Pamela sign the agreement simply because she understood that Pamela valued her reputation, and once she had signed the document, retracting her cominitment would be foo humiliating.
She had calculated everything but had overlooked Hector.
He had agreed to let her take the child, but now he had changed his mind.
Aurora remained silent, and Fredrica couldn’t understand her thoughts.
“In my opinion, if he wants to take you to court, let’s go ahead and sue! We have evidence in hand, why fear not defeating those dogs?” Fredrica decisively said, taking out his phone to call a lawyer.
“No!” Aurora quickly grabbed his hand. “Don’t sue.”

“Aurora, it’s not a question of whether we want to sue or not now, but rather that Hector will definitely sue us!” Fredrica reminded her.
Then he felt heartbroken.
“I understand, you don’t want to confront him in public, you don’t want your love to end in that way.”
After those soul wrenching experiences, not everyone could endure it.
“I don’t care how my love ends, but Iris can’t.” Aurora said, her tone even colder. “She doesn’t need to stand between us, fought over by others.”
“Therefore, we can’t take Iris to court.” She had made up her mind.
“But if that’s the case, we can only give up Iris,” Fredrica expressed his concerns again.
“We won’t.”
Aurora patted his hair and pulled Fredrica closer, whispering in his ear…
“Brother, is it true? Today, will Aurora really bring Iris back?”
In the Orlando household, Diana had just learned this news and hurriedly sought out Hector for confirmation.
Ever since Pamela’s dark expression finally returned to normal, she went to Diana and said, “Your brother hasn’t gone to work all morning just to wait for Iris. What could it be?”
“That’s fantastic!” After receiving the confirmation, Diana was so overjoyed that she seemed like she wanted to jump up.
Jenny wasn’t joking, she was indeed talented.
Diana had decided to use Iris to punish Aurora.
She wanted to make her suffer, to the point where she would kneel down and beg for forgiveness!
Pamela lowered her gaze to her watch. “It’s time.”
She didn’t think much about punishing Aurora, but the truth was that Aurorà had forced her to sign the agreement, which made her uncomfortable.
And with Iris carrying the Orlando name and getting lost, it was like a slap in the face to their family.
The three of them were talking when butler Alex stepped in. “Madam, sir, young miss, Miss Aurora has arrived.”
Upon hearing that I had arrived, the three of them stood up and left the room simultaneously.
I stood there outside.
Today, I was wearing a white dress, fair as snow, with a radiant face.
In such a state, I knew I looked magnificent, in stark contrast to the previous me at the Orlando household, always quiet and poorly dressed.
Even more so, I was no longer the same as before.
Diana caught sight of my image and lowered her head slightly.
It had to be acknowledged that I had changed a lot after the divorce, not only in style and demeanor, but also in
appearance.
Behind me, I could sense Diana biting her lip. “Having a man to support you really makes a difference, look at her now, even though her dressing style has changed”
I showed no expression, but Diana, at times rigid and stiff, had a terrible look on her face.
Hector glanced over, his voice strained. “That’s enough
To say such a thing would mean losing the Orlando family’s honor and looking down on Hector because he didn’t support a woman!
Diana realized she had said something she shouldn’t have and quickly closed her mouth.

1 smirked, a hint of sarcasm appearing.
Even the members of the Orlando family knew that they had treated me poorly.
“Where is Iris?”
Hector impatiently asked.
He walked around and didn’t see any sign of Iris.
“Iris won’t come here,” I calmly replied.
Hector’s face turned angry upon hearing the answer, and as he looked at me, the same disdainful expression that used to be on his face resurfaced. “Did you think hiding Iris would prevent me from doing anything? How naive!”
I merely chuckled.
Truly, what Hector wanted to scold me for was foolishness.
“What do you want to do?”
Initially, I had wanted to say something else, but upon hearing this question, I suddenly felt concerned.
“Of course, I will find a lawyer to take you to court, so from now on, you will never see Iris again!” Diana couldn’t contain her tone.
My smile grew even more sardonic.
Although I was smiling, in my eyes, a profound sense of sadness emerged.
Finally, I looked directly at Hector. “Is that so?”
My resolute gaze clearly defined that I would definitely get an answer.
Hector looked into my eyes and saw the teardrops trembling in my memories.
His heart ached.
But only for a few seconds.
Immediately, he nodded. “Yes!”
For a woman who only knew how to play manipulative games like me, this was the best way to punish me!
“You’re so ruthless,” I murmured, my voice filled with pain and helplessness.
Hector laughed coldly. “Just like your calculations four years ago, I have been generous enough!”
*Calculations four years ago?” I asked again, surprised that he would bring up that matter.
My eyes grew colder. “Hector, why do you still see yourself as the victim?”
