Chapter 77
“Oh, what a coincidence to run into a dog everywhere I go,” Fredrica leaned against the corridor wall, arms crossed, with a disgusted look on her face as she watched the two hugging.
With her slightly raised eyebrows, Fredrica always made people feel like she could see their flaws. She was the type that easily made others feel guilty.
Cathy felt uneasy and moved away from Oliver’s embrace. With an elegant gesture, she smoothed her hair and looked at Fredrica with disapproval. “Miss Fredrica, you’re a public figure. How can you speak like this?”
Fredrica disdainfully snorted at Cathy’s pretentious goddess act. “I’m just telling the truth.”
“To call someone a dog, is that telling the truth?” Cathy retorted.
“Human? Where’s the human?” Fredrica intentionally looked around. Then, she sneered, “Don’t think that wearing clothes makes you human. You’re just beasts disguised in human skin! No, not even beasts. At least animals know who their masters are and wag their tails when they see them.”
“Those scums, they dug their hearts and livers, wishing to give their lives for them. And what did they do? They can’t even fart without their permission, yet they still treat them like precious treasures!”
Such harsh words could only come from Fredrica. However, coming from her, they didn’t make her seem low, but rather sharp.
“What do you mean?” Oliver, with a gloomy expression, finally spoke up. His cold gaze didn’t fall on Fredrica, but passed beyond her
to the back.
There, Rita was rushing over.
She had just gone to get medicine, and when she turned back, she couldn’t find Fredrica. She guessed that Fredrica was upset about her matter and knew that Oliver’s arrival wouldn’t go unnoticed.
So she hurried back.
As expected, Rita saw Fredrica confronting Oliver and Cathy. She frowned at the sight.
She was about to come over when she heard Oliver’s words and stopped in her tracks.
Her eyes met Oliver’s gaze.
There was no emotion in Oliver’s indifferent eyes, “It was you who asked for the divorce in the first place, and it was you who wrote
ause of you. You used to act so the terms of the settlement. I gave you compensation, and what I didn’t want was al self–righteous, so why do you need to find someone to sympathize with you now?”
“Humph! Does Rita lack your compensation?” Fredrica interrupted before Rita could speak, “The Harrison family, all of you are despicable. You used to wish that you could treat Rita like a servant, and you made things difficult for her at every turn. In such a disgusting family, how could you not get divorced?”
“Although the terms of the settlement were favorable to you, consider it as a favor we did for you. We’ve accepted it!”
Fredrica’s words were sharp, even Oliver, who was used to seeing big scenes, had a change in his expression.
His face turned extremely unpleasant.
She not only cursed people cynically, but also degraded the entire Harrison family as worthless!
Since Oliver took over the management of the Harrison family, the Harrison family had never been insulted like this!
Chapter 77
His face was dark, as if a thunderstorm was about to break out.
His dark pupils were so dim that they didn’t have a trace of light.
“If you continue to be friends with someone who has no basic moral principles, your later life is destined to be a tragedy!”
Oliver still ignored Fredrica, but coldly reminded Rita.
As a man and a businessman who handled big things, he naturally didn’t bother to argue with Fredrica.
After saying that, he held Cathy’s hand and said, “Let’s go.”
“Oliver Harrison, wait a minute!” Rita called out.
She had only intended to take Fredrica away without getting involved with Oliver. But now, seeing him belittling Fredrica, how could she remain silent?
Rita walked a few steps forward, standing before Oliver and Cathy. Cathy instinctively straightened her posture and tiptoed, trying to appear taller than Rita by half a head.
Without even glancing at Cathy, Rita looked at Oliver with clear eyes. “You mention Fredrica’s straightforwardness, but I’m not sure you’re qualified to make judgments about her moral integrity, Mr. Harrison, It’s admirable that she still holds her friends in high regard and is willing to make sacrifices for their sake.”
“But Mr. Harrison…” Rita suddenly smirked, a mocking smile on her face. “Your pregnant wife was left alone in a desolate snowfield to fend for herself; how could you do something like that and still claim to have moral integrity?”
As soon as those words hit Oliver, he felt like the wind had been knocked out of him. Embarrassment was evident on his dark face, his cheeks tinged with red,
“Bringing up old matters, Miss Collins, is it because you still haven’t given up on Mr. Harrison and want to rekindle the old flame?” Cathy, who had been silent, suddenly chimed in with a soft, drifting tone.
This sentence easily changed the atmosphere and twisted Rita’s defense of Fredrica.
The embarrassment that had briefly shown on Oliver’s face vanished at an alarming rate, and he resumed his usual stoic expression. “If you came here with such thoughts, it’s best to let go of that hope!”
In the next moment, he turned his head and asked, “What happened? Didn’t you see anyone following us?”
One of the bodyguards in the pack replied hesitantly, “..
Hearing his words, Rita couldn’t help but laugh in anger. “Mr. Harrison, you’re quite good at fantasizing. You can even come up with
such ideas.”
“Just so. The hospital gate is open, and whoever wants to come can come. Do we need to report to you?” Fredrica retorted without reservation.
Then the two exchanged a smile. “Let’s go, they said in unison, holding hands and turning to leave.
Cathy’s gaze followed the two as they walked away, her brows silently furrowing. This was supposed to be her happiest moment, but it was ruined by these two people! She had never been magnanimous; all her generosity was just a pretense. Rita had effectively ruined her mood, and now she had no intention of making things easy for her.
“Miss Collins,” she said calmly, “Oliver and I are officially together now. I hope you don’t have any issues with that.

The two in front of her suddenly halted their steps. Fredrica opened her mouth to respond, but Rita pulled her hack to stop her Fredrica didn’t understand, feeling a bit anxious, she mouthed to Rita asking why she couldn’t speak. Given the offensive words from Cathy, she could easily curse her out.
Rita gave her a calming expression and then slowly turned around to look at Cathy. “Then let me congratulate both of you on your big day, don’t forget to send me an invitation. I will personally come and wish you lasting love.”
Rita’s words hit the air, and the once–calm faces on the opposite side contorted with anger.
Cathy was puzzled when Rita didn’t show any sign of being affected by her remarks.
The next reaction was that the phrase “lasting love” came after “scum male and his dog,” and she was being insulted!
“You!” She was so angry that she almost lost her composure, tightly clenching her fingers.
Rita and Fredrica had already turned around and disappeared.
“Aren’t Miss Collins and the others going too far?” Cathy turned around and pouted at Oliver.
Oliver stood there, rigid and unresponsive like a piece of lumber. Rita’s words floated to him effortlessly, and he caught the glint in
her eye.
It was indifferent, as if he was a stranger.
He winced at the sight of this look, feeling as though a thorn had just dug into his chest and left him with a sharp pain.
It wasn’t until Cathy called him a few more times that he came back to his senses.
He glanced indifferently at Cathy, still showing no response to what she said. His attention was entirely on Rita, and he didn’t even hear what Cathy had said.
“Let’s go,” he said flatly.
Cathy’s face contorted in displeasure as she bit her lip, feeling a sense of injustice. She had been looking forward to this day for months, but now all she felt was frustration and sadness.
Cathy had resolved to be a well–behaved and obedient girl in front of Oliver. She suppressed her grievance and nodded. “Okay.”
The two walked out, one after the other. Unexpectedly, when they reached the hospital gate, they ran into Rita and Fredrica.
Seeing the person in front of the two, Cathy couldn’t help but whisper in surpris “Oliver, isn’t that Robin? Why is Miss Collins with
him?”
