Chapter 30
Juliet Wright was Reed’s personal secretary. She had been married for a few years and had recently returned from maternity leave.
Evelyn got up and greeted, “Juliet, have you finished your maternity leave?”
has nodded, placed the bag in her hand on the table, blinked her eyes secretly, and exclaimed with excitement, “Ms. Gomez, Mr. Peterson
“What I bought for you, are you asking me out on a date?”
Evelyn had a headache and coughed lightly, saying, “No, I had dinner with Mr. Peterson’s parents.”
Juliet became even more excited, covering her mouth with an exaggerated expression. She exclaimed, “Wow, did you meet the parents?”
Evelyn waved her hand in resignation and dismissed the person.
She opened the shopping bag and took a look after the person had left.
Juliet was very meticulous. She bought a light–yellow long dress, and also matched it with an inner layer and shoes. The style was ordinary but looked very warm.
I changed my clothes and put on light makeup, and that was it.
Time quickly reached half past five. In order to avoid being seen by the employees, Reed had already been waiting in the parking lot.
Reed leaned on the car, tilted his head slightly and glanced at his watch.
Seeing that it was almost six o’clock, I raised my eyes and looked around.
Her gaze stopped not far away, and Evelyn arrived.
As she walked in, her whole body was exposed under the lights.
Reed froze.
Evelyn wore a light–yellow dress, paired with off–white leather shoes. Her black hair was slightly curled and cascaded down her shoulders. With a light makeup, she appeared much younger than before.
In the past, Evelyn always dressed in black, was decisive and swift. Suddenly changing her style, Reed was somewhat unaccustomed to it.

I couldn’t help but take a quick glance.
Evelyn’s cheeks turned slightly red, and she uncomfortably tugged at her skirt. She had never tried this type before, and it felt strange.
After she walked in, she awkwardly asked, “Isn’t it strange?”
Reed shook his head, his eyes filled with astonishment, and praised, “It looked very good.”
Evelyn’s anxious heart dropped as she received a positive and praising response.
She lowered her head to tidy up her clothes, her eyebrows and eyes softened.
Got on the car and headed straight to the destination.
Reed’s parents used to enjoy staying at the Peterson’s Manor, which was a bit far from their company. Evelyn sat in the car and gradually fell asleep.
The car gradually slowed down its speed and drove more smoothly.
When she woke up, they had already arrived at the gate.
The Peterson’s Manor had a large expanse of forest, and after entering the gate, it took another ten
minutes to drive up the mountain.
Evelyn was dazed and suddenly realized that she had forgotten to bring a gift.
The first time I visited, it wouldn’t be good to go empty–handed.
She sat up and said, “Don’t go in yet, I haven’t bought anything.”
Reed chuckled lightly and gently placed his hand on her shoulder, “I was ready.”
Following his gaze, I turned around and saw several gift boxes in the trunk.
“Have you arranged everything?” she turned her head and asked softly.
The car drove into the gate, and Reed’s slender fingers slightly turned the steering wheel. He laughed in response to the question.
“When I told you, time was quite rushed. How could I let you bother about this matter?”
Evelyn blinked her eyes, and a warm feeling surged in her heart.
Reed, on the surface, seemed to be a well–mannered person, but in reality, he had a lot of malicious thoughts.

Recently, I became much more mature.
I actually learned how to take care of people.
Lost in thought, she couldn’t help but glance at Reed’s profile, her gaze gradually filled with
affection.
Reed felt the gaze, his throat moved, and he asked in a hoarse voice, “Why have you been staring at
me?”
Internally, there was a slight sense of joy, and upon thinking about it, a smile couldn’t help but appear at the corner of the mouth.
Evelyn snapped out of her thoughts and chuckled, “Mr. Peterson looks much more handsome than
before.”
Reed raised his eyebrows and smiled, saying, “So, was I not handsome before?”
