Chapter o
The staff brought a brand new urn.
Ivy carefully placed the last bit of ashes remaining in the palm of her hand into it, and then, in front
of the grave, she bowed deeply.
Dad, I’m sorry, your daughter has been unfilial and loved the wrong person
Dad, I’m sorry, I was unfilial and didn’t take good care of you.
Dad, I’m sorry, but your daughter is leaving. I won’t be able to come and see you for the next few
years.
After bowing three times, she lifted her head and watched a group of mournful and cold crows
flying across the sky.
A bright red drop fell along the eyebrow, wiping across the slightly red eye socket and falling down.
It seemed like tears of blood.
At dusk, Ivy left the cemetery and returned home alone, dragging the things she had sorted out in
the past few days downstairs.
The love diary filled with Rod’s name was thrown into the fire by her.
She secretly bought them a couple’s outfit, which she threw into the garbage dump.
The couple photos that Rod and I secretly took together in the past were cut into pieces by her, one
by one.
After dealing with these things, she returned to the room.
The moment the door closed, Ivy heard the sound of the door opening downstairs.
She locked the door behind her, then turned off the light and curled up in bed in the dark.
Before long, there came a knocking sound from outside the house.
Dong dong dong, dong dong dong.
“Ivy, open the door.”
“Ivy, I can explain.”
It was Rod’s voice.

She didn’t pay attention, but tears couldn’t help but flow down.
Explanation? Explanation of what?
Did he not treat her as a tool for revenge? Or did he not choose to stand by her after Yvette smashed her father’s urn?
In no time, the knocking sound subsided, but the phone kept vibrating one after another.
Ivy watched Rod, who was still sending messages explaining, and clicked on his profile. She directly blocked and deleted him.
All night long, Ivy paid no attention to whatever noise came from outside.
She didn’t open the door until she heard her mother’s voice the next day, and then she rushed into her arms.
Ivy’s mother didn’t understand what had happened, but she still gently patted her daughter’s back, soothing her with a soft voice, just like when she was a child.
Rod, who had been awake all night, saw the scene and remained silent for a long time before turning around and going downstairs.
In the following days, Ivy did not want to be bothered by Rod, so she slept in Ivy’s mother’s room.
The mother and daughter packed their luggage together during the day, and at night they embraced each other and slept, sharing many little secrets that belonged only to them.
In her mother’s embrace, Ivy felt the long–lost tranquility.
The night before leaving, she still wanted to sleep with her mother.
Ivy’s mother worried that her daughter had too much to say and wouldn’t be able to sleep well, so she told her to rest properly.
Ivy returned to the room alone and stared at the dark ceiling, lost in thought.
At twelve o’clock, a sound of unlocking came from the door.
It was Rod, who entered with a spare key and embraced her.
“Still angry at me? It was my fault, don’t be mad anymore, okay?”
“You have been giving me the silent treatment for three days now, and if this cold war continues, I will go crazy.”

Ivy didn’t speak and closed her eyes.
Hearing the faint breathing, a hint of helplessness flashed in Rod’s eyes.
He knew that she had been having a tough time these days and didn’t want to bother her, so he just kissed her forehead.
Listening to the heartbeat that was close by, Ivy didn’t sleep all night.
In the morning, Rod’s phone suddenly rang.
She picked it up and, after seeing the three words “Yvette,” she raised her hand and woke him up, handing the phone to him.
Rod, with sleepy eyes, squinted and pressed the answer button.
He didn’t listen for long before he released his hand that was clasped around her waist and sat up abruptly.
After hanging up the phone, he turned around and softly called out, “Ivy, I…”
“Don’t turn on the lights, let’s go.”
In the dark night, Ivy’s voice was barely audible, devoid of any tone.
Rod thought she had calmed down, nodded, and got up to walk out.
Before opening the door, for some reason, he suddenly felt a panic in his heart and couldn’t help
but turn around to look at the figure curled up on the bed.
“Ivy, I will go out for a while. Wait for me to come back and then I will accompany you.”
Ivy didn’t need him to accompany her.
He would not wait for him to come back anymore.
They ended.
After hearing the sound of a car starting outside the villa, Ivy opened the lights only after watching Rod drive away.
She got out of bed and changed clothes and washed up as usual.
After tidying up everything, Ivy’s mother knocked on the door and called her to come out for
breakfast.
She obediently finished her meal and happened to see Rod’s father directing the servants to carry

her luggage downstairs.
As the last suitcase was about to be moved, she suddenly thought of something and returned to her empty room that had already been cleared out. She pulled open the drawer and took out her bank card and the breakup letter.
And then, they all put them in Rod’s room, where he could see them as soon as he came back.
“Rod, this time, it was me who didn’t want you first.”
After finishing all this, Ivy’s mother softly called from downstairs.
“Ivy, hurry up, or we will miss the plane!”
She responded with a nod and quickly walked downstairs.
The vehicles outside the villa were waiting. After saying goodbye one by one to Ivy and the two
elders, she turned around and got into the car heading to the airport.
Ivy’s mother’s choked voice sounded behind her.
“Ivy, take good care of yourself.”
“Also, I put the phone number of your doll’s sweetheart in your pocket. If you have any problems,
make sure to contact him.”
“You pursued your dreams diligently, don’t worry about the matters at home.”
Ivy opened the car window, her eyes red, nodding one by one, until the figure behind her was no longer visible, and then she looked out the window.
